SO weird that you just posted this.
I borrowed the book from a buddy and he JUST left with it, after I had kept it for a few months. Quirky coincidence...
Great read, and I like the little anecdotes and fables written in red on the margins.

Anyway, 1st instructor quits the 1st day of school, so they take her 4 classes that she was scheduled to teach and slapped them on this guy who ALREADY had a full load and plans of his own.
So in this particular class, we met the 1st week. 2nd week we had off since he had prior business he needed to take care of. We missed the 3rd week because that was the day his daughter was born. 4th week was a wash due to Hurricane Ike. We picked up again in week 5, just finished week 7. This semester is a wash. Now were getting life lessons.
Last week was how to deal with angry people at work. Not so sure the lessons apply to surgeons, but I rarely ever have a problem with my docs. Its their secretaries I get more grief from and they get more mad when I treat their charges like another homeboy. Apparently, I'm being disrespectful or something.
Maybe they are right, I was talking to doc the other day. "Dude, I already gave you admin powers on your laptop" His answer? "No you didn't bizatch!"As i showed him that I did indeed do so, "Fo shizzle I did!"Yeah, I think the secretaries can bite me.

Avoid Stepping into a Great Man’s Shoes
Do not go Past the Mark you Aimed for; In Victory, Learn when to Stop
World War II - Patton would have had us continuing our push all the way up to Moscow.
Use Selective Honesty and Generosity to Disarm your Victim
Pose as a Friend, Work as a Spy
Preach the Need for Change, but Never Reform too much at Once
I think several of these points are quite valid. But I see a lot of these are probably employed by politicians and other self made politicos (be it government or in corporate settings). Which is probably why their is so much LACK of trust in most politicians.

is probably more valid anyway. Who DOESN'T want Colin Powell as a VP, he's the one who should be up there. Don't know about a banker, but he's definitely a statesman and a leader.
