Election over...
I mean - honestly...
with folks like this onboard, does McCain even stand a chance?
Seriously? Are we supposed to care?

Re: Election over...
I used to think Jessica Biel was hot, but this seriously knocked her down a notch...or two dozen. If I was Shallow Hal, she'd be an old, shriveled up witch of a woman right now.
Obama seems to surround himself with actors, musicians, singers, and other celebrities; jingling these stars out in front of himself as if they were shiny bells used to capture the attention of a child with ADD (and although I was speaking figuratively, I bet that it is pretty close to the truth more than sometimes). The sad part is that there will be dumbasses that will be presuaded by what Mr. Timberlake and Ms. Biel said, along with other people of their celebrity personage says. Some of the younger voters will look at the "familiar" faces and then absorb anything that the celebrities say without doing much, if any, research of their own.

Re: Election over...
As one of the young voters this year who actually care about where our country is going (and believe me there are alot more of us now than there ever were, we're gonna accomplish what the hippies dreamed of, but never got around to completing) and have done our research on BOTH canidates. All I have to say is, maybe growing up in a country where we've seen nothing but war from the day I was born to now, seeing our once very well off parents struggle to make house payments, and seeing a country flat out ignore our requests for change, we are finally going to make our change. In the highschool I just graduated from not too long ago 9-10 seniors who are going to be voting this year considered themselves liberal, democrat, or what have you. Not because all those stars are endorsing, honestly we could care less what they think not all of us are little school kids looking up to the people we see in movies or the people we hear on the radio. Sure for some of us they may have gotten us INTERESTED in the issues, but I have never heard ANYONE say "I'm gonna vote for Obama because Leo Decaprio supports him, O-M-G he is so hot!!!". So many kids in my school signed up for the debate class this year my school had to start a whole other class called "We The People" to start putting kids in who wouldn't fit into the debate class. And they counted it as a government credit. Politics and being on the debate team isn't nerdy anymore. The average cheerleader can actually hold a solid debate on issues she or he cares about.
McCain would be bad for this country, and if he dies (which I mean, lets be honest, is a real possibility) the Palin is an even WORSE choice. McCain should of won the last election he was in, that was his time, before he let the big guys take over his act. And yes, his Straight Talk Express is no more, it has been replaced by good old fashioned Republican LETSSLANDEROUROPPOSITIONSOTHEAMERICANSWHODONTPAYAT TENTIONTTOISSUESBUTINSTEADLOOKATHOWAPERSONLOOKSINA PICTUREWILLHATETHEMism. Obama has his faults, yes. And if he wins our country's economy will still decline, more people will become impoverished, and all the bad things people are saying are going to happen WILL happen. But those same things will happen if McCain is elected and WORSE now that he's letting the Republican party control him like they've controled the idiot in office now. Palin wasn't even McCain's choice as his running mate for fucks sake!!!! Our country is in the shitter and there's nothing we can really do to change that despite what both candidates are saying, all we can do is make sure the same party that has been fucking us over time after time doesn't get elected. You know what, just give me someone in office that doesn't let his god decide what he's gonna do. Cause lets face it, Bin Laden said he would ruin America by hitting us where it's going to hurt the most, by hitting the two things we care about most. Our money and our status. How do you think he's accomplished that (yes, he has accomplished what he said he would)? By drawing us into a war that we've poured money into, that we've lost people to, that countries have started to hate us for, and that our own citizens are starting to hate just as much as Vietnam.
Candidates want us young people to vote not because we are mostly liberal or independent or democrat, but because it's our country, we are the future and what happens in this election is going to effect me down the road more than it will anyone over 30.
Sorry, I've been getting shit from alot of people over who I'm voting for so I had to get this all off my chest :3
