They will give you all sorts of info (the second will also give you exchange rates useful when establishing trade)

Also keep an eye on tax rates as if you get it too high you're economy could tank, then it's a bitch to get back on track. Choose your issues wizely, dismiss any that you don't like any of the options on (far better than the work to get back on track, I've found from experiance)
