make a game thats extremely competitive... then its the next halo

Turning Gears into HALO would be several steps down the ladder for Epic. It seems like they have a story to tell and thats what they should stick to. Have the balls the to make the game you want and not a game that's only purpose is mass appeal and making money. The few developers that still have the guts to do this tend to be releasing the best games in this stale and mediocre generation of console gaming.

bungie is probably the most dedicated dev around. they probably wouldnt give a shit if the game was endorsed by mountain dew or not. bungie is all about pleasing the fans. they even said that if it was up to them and not microsoft they would make map packs free.

No Bungie may be he most dedicated dev in the Western world but Japan pretty much has the market share of dedicated and talented development teams.
