[occ] you forget that the original nationstates was to promote a book. It has since snowballed into a major online thing (maybe bigger than the book is was created to promote...). So far the tax issue is the only thing I've noticed as 'extemely screwy' asside from that (and keeping an eye on taxes) it works rather well, though some of the side effects of certain issues still catch me off guard sometimes. Just don't pass any issues that look like they'd add to the tax base, pick any that look like they will cut it, and pray that you didn't seriously extend your budget past the 100% mark.

when you get down to about 70% and you think the side effects of your issues won't make the Draki too paranoid then you can resubmit you're request for trade negotiations with us. I look at how you role play, and how you run your government before making my decisions. good luck
