The only story I heard is that the Republican National Convention bought her $150,000 worth of clothes and that they will give them to charity.

The pundits have been talking about the $150K as if it's extraordinary. They obviously haven't shopped for good custom-fit clothes, let alone a wardrobe full of them. In addition the clothes need to be shipped around the country on a tight schedule. My guess is that the clothing supplier is also providing that service. I think $150K is reasonable.
    Haha.

Well the clothing are seperate from the make up and all that. Palin also has her own make up artist instead of just using the one McCain uses. And for some reason I don't believe for a second those clothes are going to be given to charity.

Exactly. If people in the highest tax bracket choose to pay more taxes under the Obama plan then let us. We don't need some whiney Joe the Plumber to defend us. Fuck balls, he's not even in the tax bracket.

He might better serve his Republican party by telling them to stop being Judeo-Christian zealots that are out to lock up or kill Americans that aren't as good as they are, thereby destroying the very family units that the underprivileged need for moral support. He might also be well served to call out the Republican party for wanting a govenment that directly intervenes in peoples' lives, advocates biased judges, advocates stealing people's children to brainwash them in their church, etc., all under the guise of protecting our families.

    What a fucked up party.

My wife already made this point, as well. She's a hard-line Obama supporter, but even she doesn't buy into the ridiculousness people are making that price tag out to be. If you've ever gone shopping with a female, you'll see just how retardedly expensive normal women's clothing is. Custom stuff is through the roof. But the point she made, though, was that Palin's running for one of the most powerful job's in the country. She's gonna have to dress the part, and that's gonna cost money.

She also pointed out, "you think $150k is bad? Imagine if she did get the job or even became president. She'll need 'appropriate' clothing on a daily basis. Go find out how much the Queen of England spends to get a good idea. $150k is a drop in the bucket."

Also, if I remember right, not all of the $150k was her clothing, it also paid for clothing for her family traveling with her too. The point still stands, though. Women's clothing = WTF Expensive.

Thats only the half of the party that's drained the life out of the true Republicans who believe in less government control (unlike the Republicans who want to monitor what people read and watch, wtf. And Bush's Patriot Act, again, wtf.) See, there's the good Republicans who you can actually talk to and debate with and nothing bad comes out of it. And then there's the Republicans like who will label you a terrorist or unpatriotic for disagreeing with a single thing they believe .

A man's makeup artist is a very different than a woman's makeup artist.

And why do you not believe it?

Because they are evil republicans? Seriously?
