Lmao, well I have to say yes her family was attacked. Yall might not hear all the stuff about her like we do here. You have to understand that we dont have tons of murders and stuff like that up here so you hear about her on a daily basis and what she is doing. First of all like I said before, once she was chosen for VP, every single word that came out her mouth was scripted for her, she was not allowed to speak her mind at all. Everything she wore and her family wore was chosen for them by her "handlers" along with what was said in public. She had no choice in any of it. This is the truth, believe me I have read alot about it in the papers and on the news here. So the image that yall see is not the true her. Another thing, she is not a nice person really at all. Matter of fact, I have heard her called a mean bitch and not to F with her, more then you could imagine. As for experiance, she is much more quilified then you think, she has had multipul dealing with foriegn countries and all of them have been very successfull. I can name 2 countries for sure that I know of right off hand and a few that I think but dont know for sure on. China and Canada are the 2 I know for sure, matter of fact we have a standing trade deal with China right now and another deal that the gov. decieded to block and not allow because they are mad at China, but would have been huge for us here in the state. If you think she has no experiance you have to realize EVERYTHING that comes to this state is either shipped in from international waters or flown in from international airways. That takes experiance to have that sort of stuff happen and stay that way, with foriegn countries and our own country too.
I am willing to bet if she does run in the next election, that yall will see more of the true her and she wont let them scrip anything for her. This was just a stepping stone and learning experiance for her. The next time(if she decides to) will be 100% change from what yall saw this time.

One word of advice to Ms. Palin, though. She needs to use the media people, not have them use her. That's a tough skill to learn and I'm not confident that she can do it in four years. My guess is that she will write a book, maybe make a TV movie, and call it quits with big league politics. Alaska is a nice place to be so I couldn't blame her. If I could retire in Homer right now I would.

I think Palin is done at this point, at least until 2012. Well see.

If she comes out in 2012 the way she did here, then she'll be in the same place.

I am surprised to see posts picking over the remains of Palin. I would have expected more posts about the Clinto Obama cabinet and news coming out of the OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT ELECT

and whether or not people who voted for Obama are feeling like they actually received Change or Hope based on who he is putting in the power spots.

How do you define change based upon who gets assigned cabinet positions? Last I checked, the Clinton presidency was considered a success. Those in his cabinet were a part of that. The blowjob incident wasn't necessary but nobody's perfect. Look at Obama's economic council. The change Obama talks about is the close minded, religious nutbag, militaristic, corrupt and inept nature of the Bush presidency. Though I do think the choice to keep Gates as Sec. of Defense is a good choice and shows the intellectual prowess and common sense approach that has been missing from our government for 8 years.

Putting the same old players back into place is more of a 'revert' than a change. Revert doesn't look so good on a bumpersticker though. Watching his commercials, Change seemed to be sold as a new direction rather than a 180. All about the marketing though.

Although I playfully jab at Clinton about the Lewinsky business, in retrospect his presidency was a success. Clinton did a decent job at it, and you wont truly see me spit when talking about it. In reality, I was in the military and didn't pay nearly the amount of attention to politics that I do now. The internet is much more pervasive now, so information flows freely. Bush was the first president to have to contend with the internet at its current strength. I know it was around during Clinton's presidency, but it just wasn't the same. Well see how Obama deals with it. He has done a good job of using it to his advantage to date.

I haven't spent a whole lot of time thinking about it, I do like the idea of the economic advisory board being brought in to get ideas from outside of Washington, and give Mr Obama some props on this one. The staffing of it will be the determining factor.

I do agree with you on Gates, but the left doesn't.
