Actually, BBC World News, Guardian, and other foreign news sources are pretty darn good whichever way they lean; they sugar coat nothing in regards to American issues, because they do not have to worry about American sponsors and advertising.

CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, CBS? Seriously? All news is equally fucked up, no one tells the truth with no spin. If you think anything other than that you are having the wool pulled over your eyes.

My evening news is with Jim Lerher (sp?).

He seems to be pretty evenly critical against everyone.

RIP Tim Russert. The best in my lifetime.

This is very true. As I had said before, my girl is from Brasil. No matter where her parents have lived in the past, upstate NY, Cayman Islands, or Sao Paulo, Brasil, they have watched nothing but BBC. Pretty interesting coming from people who've lived in more than one country.

Yeah, here on OPB (Oregon Public Broadcasting) we watch the Leher newshour. Beyond that I pretty much watch foreign news, C-Span and listen to NPR/PRI.

I especially appreciate his moments of silence at the end of the newshour. Real stuff.

Check. That is one of the many things about the show I appreciate.

    Re: Surviving terrorist

most of my news comes from the BBC world news broadcast that KUAT 7 (Arizona Public Media, or basically the Tucson PBS) shows at midnight
