If I were
of the BCS:
I somewhat agree with Sparty that the reason the conferences/schools/advertisers support the BCS is because every game is important. At this moment the only team with the right to judge is Alabama. They play in a power conference, and have taken care of business every week. Texas Tech, USC, OU, Texas, and Penn State all lost, so they suffer the consequences, which might mean missing the championship game, or even a BCS game in general.
However, if I were king there would be a playoff system. You might say this would hurt college football's regular season, but here is where I would make it more interesting. In my rating system a loss to say Florida for Texas would help them more than a blowout win over North Texas. The way things are now scheduling a non-conference power team can only hurt you if you lose. If Ohio State had schedule We Suck University instead of USC they would still be in talks for the national title. If there were a playoff system, and one loss did not eliminate you, these power programs would benefit from scheduling each other. Who wouldn't want to see Florida and OU, USC and Texas, or any other top 10-15 teams square off early in the season?
