    Have you ever used ear buds? you can stretch them out, coil them, do anything. They still come out in a knot. Every damn time.

    Heres a professional secret. Dont take them down. Just plug them in end of november and fix weather damaged bulbs.

    That's what we did at my old house. We lived in a ritzy neighborhood and also used the lights for parties on summer nights. Those lights never broke. The parties on the other hand were a little uptight. Well, except for one night when my fraternity brothers took my mud truck out on the frozen lake and did donuts behind Bob Seger's place. I hope he saw it because when the song comes out I'm gonna ROFL.
