    I was at Speicher in 03, I think its one of the safest FOBs around. Its hard to be a sneaky Jihadist when you have to cross bare sand to approach the perimeter. Places down around the rivers get that tall grass that allows those sneaky bishes to plink at you through the fences. Im sure your patrol base is another story though. My program has two guys there as FSRs attached to the 10th CAB. They are enjoying the suck for 15 months, but getting paid well for it. You married or single? Im wondering if a care package would help you out or if you have someone taking care of that already.

    Wild,

    Good to hear from you man. One of my good friends is a civilian contractor for the Army in Iraq, and the sand storms are his biggest complaint. He says even with his room closed up he still gets sand in his drawers.

    Not much I can say that others have not already. Do your best to stay out of harms way, and update us when you can. I have already expressed how much I appreciate what you and your fellow soldiers do, but I don't think I could ever say thanks enough.
