That 1911 c3 makes me cry in the fetal position.

    What a dreamy gun.

That sig is bomb as hell too, Ive just always loved 1911s.

My friend is offering to sell me a 1911 C3 for $600.

Retail it goes for over $1100. This one has been fired exactly ONCE.

It is killing me not to buy it.

It was fired atleast 5 times at the factory and that is if everything went well right off the bat.

    Re: Sig P250 Range Report

    Update.

I took it back to the range today with my dad for some more practice and fun and on the first shot, I knew something was wrong. The slide stuck back after each shot. If I kept my thumb on the slide release lever then it worked but something wasn't right.

I took the gun apart, and being pretty new with it, i didnt really know what to look for.

There was a guy at the range with a "got sig?" shirt on, so I walked over and said "Do you know much about sigs?" and he sort of smiled and said "yeah, I work for Sig."

So he comes over, I explain the problem and he takes one look inside my gun and says "You're missing a part."

Apparently when I cleaned it I was a little clumsy and lost a spring that keeps tension on the slide release lever. The gun was functional, you just had to release the slide after each round.

The guy says "I don't have my 250 with me, otherwise I'd give you a spring." Then the guy says "You know, you paid for a sig and right now you dont have a sig...I need to make this right."

So he gives me his card and says call me when you head back into town and we'll meet up and I'll fix it, replace that spring for you."

    On Christmas Eve!

I told him it wasnt a big deal and he said that he couldnt sleep if he knew I had a non-functioning Sig...so he insisted.

Sure enough, an hour later he met me in the parking lot of this shopping center between our houses and he took apart a brand new Sig 250 9mm from his truck and took out the one missing spring and installed it into my gun. Bada-bing - instant fix.

Then he gave me tips on how to better disassemble them and spent 30 minutes talking to me about the industry, different guns, ARs, Suppressors, tons of stuff - just the nicest guy you'd ever want to meet...

And he took an hour out of his Christmas Eve to fix my gun, for free.

Sig earned a customer for life today.

    No question about it.

    Nice gun.

How about taking some video at the range or is that too extreme?

    Consultant,

Congratulations on purchasing such a fine firearm. I own two SIG's and love them. (Note: it is SIG, not Sig; stands for Schweizerische Industrie-Gesellschaft, or Swiss Industrial Company).

I was looking around there and the thought of swiping my hand on this thing sounds a lot easier than entering a code or turning a dial or finding and inserting and turning a keyed lock.

    What do you think?
I have three similar gun safes, but I have avoided the biometric models due to their reliance on batteries. I chose models with push button locks, such as this one: http://www.deansafe.com/ftk-pb.html or this one: http://www.deansafe.com/vli-2912-s.html
These are very fast and easy to open, even in the dark. I store my Remington 870 in one of these: http://www.everysafe.com/V-Line-Indu...A-VLN1005.html
