    Terrorism anybody?

This video shows a zoo, which is where the detonator is and follows the fuse from the detonator all the way to a school, which has AK-47 rifles, RPG's, and greanades stored in one of the classrooms. The entire school has been booby-trapped and they show the fuse that goes into the school.

I heard of this and just read up on it more. Hamas is attacking the supply trucks with humanitarian aid allowed in during the 3 hours ceasefires and stealing the goods and selling them to the highest bidders. They have hit around 30 trucks so far.

Consider what would happen if for some reason the US decided to annex all of Canada below the 49th parallel to redress a feeling of the border agreement was unfair to the US when it was struck. Canada of coarse tries to defend its borders having to strike into the US homeland to attack the main concentrations of US forces. Of coarse Canada's army is wiped out as the US military is about 20 times the size and better equipped. In retaliation for the attack onto US soil the Us decides to seize control of all key strategic locations to buffer themselves from any further Canadian attack. This of course forces thousands of Canadians from their homes into refugee camps further from the border.

The Canadians develope an obvious resentment to the US occupation of their territory and there is growing support to drive the US out at what ever the cost. The first attempts are in the form of creating a conventional army and militia, but it is futile when US warplanes bomb every training facility or piece of infrastructure the Canadians try to use to create their conventional army. This of coarse further drives the Canadians into poverty and despair and further creates a hatred of the US.

A mentality develops especially as US civilians start moving into the occupied territory evicting more Canadians the all US people are the enemy and must be removed from Canada at all costs. So the weak guerrilla movement in Canada that had mostly attacked US soldiers and Police until then begins to target the civilians that have invaded Canada, the tactic doesn't seem to work only making the US reply with more force cracking down harder on the Canadians and of course causing numerous civilian casualties in the process due to the difficulty of sorting out the terrorist guerrillas from civilians.

The Canadians are infuriated and support for the guerrillas grows to include almost every Canadian, and a belief comes in that the only way to remove the US from Canada is to make it so bloody for all US citizens that they will give up or be annihilated. And the complete extermination of the US doesn't seem like a bad idea to the hungry and poor Canadians. So the guerrillas begin to attack the US civilians within their borders anyway they can, in retaliation the US military pummels any part of Canada where they are fairly certain of guerrillas being not overly concerned about collateral damage because the Canadians are horrible terrorists.

Think about that and what is going on in Israel right now it would be a very similar situation, terrorism is unfortunately a consequence of being so militarily superior to your enemy that they cannot even attempt a conventional war against you. Do you think Israel would ever allow the Palestinians to form a conventional army, no they would bomb the shit of anything they saw before the Palestinians could ever have even a tenth of the strength needed to even match Israel's military. So the Palestinians fight with the only way they can hope to win, bloody carnage hoping the Israelis will lose the stomach to fight.

You may think I am on the side of the Palestinians, but I am not. Nor am I on Israel's side. However it came to pass they are both locked in a life and death struggle to prevent the annihilation of their people by any means at their disposal. The Israeli's have a powerful military so we vilify them any time they kill civilians and we call them murderers. The Palestinians can't stand and fight a conventional army so they strike at who they can civilians and we call them terrorists for it.

I am fucking tired of the argument which side is right and wrong or who started it, it is of no consequence anymore. All that matters is that both people now believe they are locked in a life or death struggle one that if they lose they will be destroyed. Whether that is true or not I do not know. What we should care about is how to pry them apart and keep them apart because as it is now oneside or the other will stir things up because they do not believe the other side will keep their end of the bargain.

A lesson we should all learn from this conflict is the consequence of a superior force, it ends in the enemy becoming a terrorist as his only other options are to die or surrender. Terrorism is immoral but so is having a military so strong your enemy cannot match it as it creates terrorism. Theoretically no nation should have a military stronger than any other so no nation could expect to defeat another, but that is a beautiful dream that can never be so we are stuck with a symmetrical warfare which in turn becomes terrorism.
One of my favorite analogies; thank you, sir.

    Re: Israel

I can agree with peace from both sides. Read up on the history of the whole conflict and you'll see that Israel has as much to do with causing it as the Palestinians do

EDIT: I should add that the U.S., Britain and much of Europe can also be blamed for the problems as well

Report: Hamas Lied About Gaza Casualties

    by Maayana Miskin

(IsraelNN.com) Italian journalist Lorenzo Cremonesi, who works with the Corriere della serra newspaper, reported Thursday that Hamas had vastly overstated the number of civilian deaths in Gaza. While Hamas claims that 1,330 residents of Gaza were killed in the operation and approximately 5,000 wounded, the real number of casualties was far lower, Cremonesi says.

Cremonesi's report was based on his own findings after touring hospitals in Gaza and talking to families of those killed or wounded. “It is sufficient to visit several [Gaza] hospitals to understand that the numbers don't add up,” he explained.

Cremonesi estimated that between 500 to 600 people were killed in the fighting. Most were young men between the ages of 17 and 23 who were members of Hamas, he said.

Many hospitals had several empty beds, he reported. Hamas has stated that Gaza hospitals are filled to capacity due to the large number of victims, with many of the wounded being turned away due to the shortage of doctors and supplies.

The Italian report also confirmed Israeli allegations that Hamas had used civilians as human shields and used ambulances and United Nations buildings in the fighting. Those who tried to drive the terrorists away in order to protect their families were beaten.

Civilians told Cremonesi that they shouted at Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists to leave the area to avoid drawing Israeli fire on civilians. The terrorists responded by calling them “traitors,” “collaborators” and “cowards,” and insisted that any civilians killed would be martyrs destined for paradise.

Civilians also reported that Hamas terrorists disguised themselves as paramedics and drove ambulances during the fighting. In addition, terrorists launched rockets from UN buildings. Many of these actions are defined as war crimes.

"The knew they were weaker, but they wanted them [the Israelis] to fire on our houses, so they could accuse them of war crimes,” a resident of the Gazan village Tel Awa explained.

Cremonesi said it was difficult to gather evidence against Hamas because residents were fearful. Civilians feared that if it was known they spoke against the group, they would be harshly punished, he explained.

Eisenberg: Many Didn't Know Their Homes were Booby-Trapped
Gaza Division Commander Brig.-Gen. Eyal Eisenberg reported on Thursday that Hamas had booby-trapped the homes of many civilians without their knowledge.

Many Gaza civilians were surprised to find explosives hidden under their houses, Eisenberg said, and noted that Hamas had placed roadside bombs throughout the area as well.
