Thread: Wanna Be a TTP Admin?

OK, so you have made it this far reading post threads. Hopefully, you have been keeping up with the ...BigDog... thread about what an Admin needs to be. If not, stop now and take the time necesary to read [size=24px]ALL[/size] of this thread:

Admins are the life and backbone of any server. As such, the must be held to a higher standard than any other member or visitor on TTP. There is no bigger honor or responsibility than being nominated and promoted to Admin level. This is all based on individual performance, accoutability and humility. Admins are not judged on race, age, sex or national origin. They are chosen based on how they present themselves both on the battlefield and off the battlefield, on the TTP website and off the TTP website. Characher and Maturity is of the utmost importance AT ALL TIMES!

So here is my challenge... I don't care how old you are, how many points you have, what your political offiliation is or what your long term goal is. If you want to be a TTP Admin, be a team player. Command your team, lead your squad or just be a squad member that FOLLOWS your Squad Leader's commands. If you can do that, repetatively and consistantly, you are Admin quality. This comes with a BIG...BUT.

But, if you have times when you get caught up in emotion or "the game"and can't see right from wrong (responsibility vs. game), then don't think about being an Admin. You have to be willing to lose a round, kick a teamate, punish a friend, and even ban a clan member if you want to be a FAIR Admin. However, the biggest kick in your crotch is the need to be fair, regardless of age, affiliation, emotion or outcome (you might be punished or banned) because of your decision and/or action. Stand up for your decision, but be willing to admit you are or were wrong.

I don't know, but the Admins I'm sure are watching. I want a WHOLE BUNCH of Admins that really give a crap and have the integrity to be true to TTP and it's principles.

I would want to be, but I don't know BD and sjt very well. Everytime there are a bunch of assholes on CS:S, there is never an admin around and no one will votekick them, and they just come back when they get kicked. Such as today...

Panda - if you have legit issues with players while an admin isn't on. get a "status" in your console - note the date and time and an exact description of happened/ Post it in the CS forum - and we WILL take action. There are uncountable threads of us there doing so. Policing the servers isn't just up to the admin, it;s up to everyone who gives a damn to take the time to ID the issues and problems and bring them up with the admins...believe me we want the servers "sukka free" more than you do.

if the guys are being assholes in chat... get some screenshots. about a month ago, it was late at night, and there was some idiot refusing to work with the team, and saying shit like "fuck that, i'll do whatever i want"... which i screenshotted and posted, along with the status screenshot. yeah, that guy's gone

Well, I was fortunate to have an admin come on 30 minutes into the disturbance and they were taken care of.
