Looks like McCoy of Texas and Tebow from Florida are both coming back. Bradford of OU has not declared either way yet, but I think of the 3 he has the most pro potential, and is projected by several experts as the #1 pick of the Lions. Should make for another exciting football season, and competitive Heisman race. Thoughts?

Moreover....Bradford should stay for one final year, because, after all, who the fuck wants to play for the Lions?!
ESPN has been swallowing Tebow's load all year long. When Tebow announced he was staying for one more year, the ESPN ticker at the bottom literally repeated that for a good 2 or three minutes....

Well the thing about Tebow is, they don't think he'd be a good NFL quarterback, supposedly he'll probably end up being a tight end, so for him, its a much easier decision to stay at college and enjoy running an offense for one more year, before you have to switch roles, where as Bradford would get a bunch of money if he were drafted first by the Lions(Even though it would suck to play for them.)

If I were Bradford I would bail. He will be the first pick, has a Heisman, and really nothing to gain by another year in school. Not sure what Culpepper's contract situation is with Detroit, but if Bradford get sit the bench for 4-8 weeks then jump in he might be ok. I agree that Tebow is the perfect fit for the Florida offense, but will probably not be a good NFL QB.

Re: One more year for college QBs
The Lions should just trade away their number one pick so they can at least protect who ever they have come training camp. They need offensive linemen and guys in the secondary who can actually tackle so trading for high 1st first round/2nd round picks is what they should do. Bradford would just be another Joey Harrington if he was drafted by Detroit, no matter no skilled he is, I don't think he would ever have enough protection. I know Culpepper has one year left on his contract, but he has a shoulder injury. Orlovsky played well with Calvin Johnson, but then again Calvin Johnson is one of the best athletes I have ever seen. I would have liked to have seen more of 3rd stringer Drew Stanton, he played well when he was in a game after a bad training camp. I think the Lions are happy to have a good running back and an amazing receiver to build off of though, even though they should be winning a championship with all the picks they had in previous years. Bradford would be a great pick, I just don't know if the Lions have given Stanton enough of a chance, and if they Lions weak O-line would be nice for the rookie.
