Obama's speech: "We may not agree on abortion, but surely we can agree on reducing the number of un-wanted pregnancies in this country."

I liked that. Rather than treat the symptom, let us cure the source. Abortion wouldn't be an issue if pregnancies were had at the right time, when wanted, and expected.

Yeah. Abortion is totally wrong.

I, for one, would love more unwanted, unloved, diseased, drug-addicted, hopelessly retarded rape babies to be born into and forced into a life worse than wherever they might go when they die. Purgatory, I guess.

To hell with the burden on society they will eventually become. They deserve the right, god damnit!

What a moronic thing to say. The life you kill for the sake of birth control could be the next Einstein, Gandhi, whoever.... There are other options like adoption. It is a sad thing that the liberal bureaucrats have made adopting a child from our own country is so tough that a lot of people will go outside the country to adopt. Cut the bullshit red tape so people that are on waiting lists can adopt American children.

But lets for the sake of your argument say that if it is rape and in the first trimester that would be ok. What Obama is for is killing children well into the 3rd trimester. A good % of them can live without the mother. Yet he feels it is still in the mothers right to be able to kill these children.

Partial birth abortions and abortions after the child is conscious and still in the womb are just plain wrong...

If the mother is considering an abortion, I doubt that the child's gene pool is of quality in the first place. With that being said, there could be plenty of geniuses that won't get a chance because they are already living in squaller and need assistance. Average human ejaculate contains 180 million sperm. 180 million potential babies. Toss in the genes from a rednecked, retired welder and his high school drop-out sweetheart, and I don't think you're gonna be getting the cure for cancer any time soon.

Yeah, lets fix the adoption system and kudos to the women who follow through with the pregnancy to have the baby. That still won't fix the entire problem. People aren't going to adopt a baby that will be a burden on them for the rest of their lives.

Well to answer your questions AzH...From my point of view...you cant have true conception if an egg is not fertilized...so spank away my friend! Same for birthcontrol. My issue is using abortion in place of birth control. Although I have to admit I am on the edge with rape, incest and child pregnancy...I dont like the idea but would fully understand in those cases.

And who were the parents of the great minds of the world? Most of them were poor, working class and had never gotten any education past what they needed to do in order to go out and work. Just because your parents never made anything out of themselves doesn't mean you can't.
