Red, I think this is the part of your post that you're catching heat from. In the beginning you do single out that you are referring to a Steam Community Forum, however ending with a blanket statement about people in Europe can be found offensive. Your statement implies that all people in Europe have nothing better to do than bitch about the topic at hand.

I do not mean to intervene between you and the moderators/admins that have come into this thread, but I would like to try to point out that in my opinion, after reading your original post several times, this statement appears to be more far reaching than you may have intended.

i guess it could be, and the sad thing is a non-moderate (correct?) has shown the most respect and at least made a case to show as to why it may be construed. Instead of just saying its insulting blah blah blah. It was meant to mean about the people on the forums but yes i could see how it could indeed appear to go too far. thanks.

This posts also allows me to stress that if Civil had come in and said such or show any respect it would have been fine, however he came in to pick a fight with me, knowing full well i will defend my opinions and am short tempered. Is it my problem i have a short temper? yes but does it mean he has a right to come in a try to pick a fight and then have blame solely put on me? no. Does it matter? Nope because i've seen this play out too many times before where the ones in power side with the one in power.

All i'm saying is, how could this mess been avoided? simple some respectful posting and not just jumping in to try and start a fight and exploits another weakness to make themselves look better.

1. Maybe Civil came in and warned a poster about a topic that was reported to a board he moderates without any insults, but just maybe.
2. Maybe Civil understands chain of command, and was told by a high admin to drop it, and let him handle it, but then again, just maybe.

Either way I have been asked to move on, so that is what I will do now.

Really, did he come in saying he was a moderator? did he come in saying that it may seem offensive? NO he came in doing a big long speel, trying to get on my nerves then turns and says "See, i was just doing my job."

Hell you showed your respect to others with that last sentence, you take my words and use them to fit your agenda. You didn't say that that sentence could be seen as an insult, instead of imply i think everyone in europe is lazy and complain.

Still no answer though on is civil held responsible for his personal attack on me? No, of course not. because he is in power so he gets away with it.

Its called respect, Civil has never shown any to me and has done with crap before, yet i am supposed to respect one show no respect for me? i fail to see how that is fair nor just.
