OK, so what should the shot be?
I'm thinking at least a double since it's an elephant shot.

As far as flavors, I'm thinking something to remind you of the region the elephant is from, which gives a lot of choices from the different regions of Africa to the regions of Asia.

There's a rum from Africa that a liquor store near my house stocks. Never tried it and can't remember the name of it though

Perhaps a double shot or served in a large shooter since elephants are large.
A strong aftertaste so you 'never forget'.
Something white (creme? milk?) to represent the ivory.
If the whole drink turned gray it might represent fairly well too.

Elephant Gun recipe
1 oz whiskey
1 oz pineapple juice
1 dash lemon juice
1 tsp sugar

this is a shaken shot, so it's a little large...

maybe this is what shoots the elephant shot? Maybe it's the chaser
