Blink coming back is the best thing ever. Fuck whoever wrote that article they can go suck a big fat floppy dick with mustard and hot sauce on it.

However, I do wish Tom would get rid of Angles and Airwaves....that was a failure from the start and alienated ALOT of us Blink fans.

As I've said before, music in general is NOT suffering from a lack of talent. It's suffering from a visible lack of talent. Plenty of great music has already come out this year in quite a few major genres. Of course you're going to be disappointed if you only look to mainstream stuff.

Blink 182? Well, I'll wait for the album, if there is one. Even then, I think I'm going to end up being glad I don't have to listen to all of it.
enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P

Agree with the first part, not the second haha.

Most, if not all, of the GOOD bands, rappers, etc are not mainstream stuff like you'd hear on the radio, repeating itself 24/7.

Then how did the win Grammy's? That must mean they were the best of the best.

Re: "Why the Blink 182 Reunion Doesn't Matter"

Some radio stations like the one I work for have good line-ups, but then we're a college-rock station that plays shit tons of indie mixed with some mainstream so people new to indie don't feel lost or confused. Other college stations think we're absurd for including some mainstream, but then we pull out the listens:listeners ratio (3:1), and they back off.

Maybe I should start posting up what albums we're adding every week. I think there was some new M. Wade this week. I know last week there was some Birds and Bees and Lily Allen, and since we also include Loud Rock/Metal, Urban, and RPM, we also have in Dragonforce, although we had to wait for the ERG since the full album version sent to us only had long good songs. More than just those artists have gone in, but those are all I can think of off of the top of my head. Since late January, when labels actually started sending us the normal amounts of albums, EPs, and singles, I've added just over 30 new albums including a few metal ones.

Re: "Why the Blink 182 Reunion Doesn't Matter"

I believe the point of music is to find something you like and listen to it. It you want the same words repeated 18 times so be it. If you want a one hit wonder band that gives you one good song (If your lucky 2) an album then that's your specific preference. I personally listen from stuff all the way back in the 70s all the way up to 2009 Thus far and I think that through out time you will find good bands and repetitive radio trash. I can't really find anything before the 70s I like....But that's just me.

If your going to bash your kids music just like your parents bashed yours without trying to understand why they like it. Then your the one at fault, While I hate almost all music with a passion I enjoy certain bands from every Genre that tend to break the vicious cycle of lets get a CD with one good song on it out and watch it sell. Its not a Specific era of music that's awesome, its the specific bands that sing your kind of music from that era that are enjoyable. The only thing that changes really, is the instruments and introduction of new ways of singing.

    --------------On Topic!

Anyways with that said. God, I hope Blink 182 stays disbanded. I personally hate that band with every fiber of my being.

    Good Points Kelderos.
But pre-70s? Cream, Grateful Dead, Beatles, Stones? C'mon!

That was supposed to happen this year, but it'll probably be something I have to arrange next year assuming I get GM. Lots of not so fun political problems has gotten in the way although one of them was escorted off campus, hehe.

I've tried to understand. My daughter likes for the same reason every kid her age (12) does, MTV.

I will say Guitar Hero has gotten her to like more music. I tear almost came to my eye when she told me to play Metallica's Battery in the car. I will admit that thanks to GH/Rock Band I have checked out more older songs that I missed growing up. (BTW got my GH drums today I am like a little kid with those)
