Re: Goshawks G36k w/RAS unit and PEG box
Nope, next purchase is either a SCAR-L or a USC (semi-auto version of the H&K UMP). I'm not a huge fan of Saigas, and while the AR platform is nice, I have had nothing but fantastic experiences with both FN and H&K firearms (aside from the aforementioned trigger issue with my FS2000).
As for lever action, the only one I would consider purchasing would be a .45 collector's grade pre-1950s Winchester, and that would only be to pass down to my kids, should the powers that be decide to unleash my hellspawn upon the world one day. 8)

I've been on the kick to get either a Mauser or an Enfield lately myself. I want a bolt action that has a bit of history and shoots a cartridge I could find at most ma-pa gunshops. The old 8mm mauser is around most places, .303 is kinda hit and miss I guess.
My Saiga is pretty nice, definitely not a WASR lol.

or what about a Springfield 1903? Quality, historic, bolt-action. 30-06 is a very common cartridge.

Re: Goshawks G36k w/RAS unit and PEG box
I already have two 91/30s one 1943 izhevsk that I plan on modding a bit and a really nice 1940 Tula that is a stock refinish. I also got a tin of 700 rounds of x54R for 50 bucks from the knob creek gun shoot.
For the cost of a springfield I could get a garand and have a much better time, but I'm more interested in saving some coin. I've seen both Mausers and Enfields around in 7.62x51 which is interesting as well.
BTW Knight, you can go to www.centerfiresystems.com and see what they have, I believe they have Mosin 91/30s for $89.99 and are pretty good to work with. They are over in Versailles and although they dont have a store, you can order on the phone and pick it up from the warehouse to save shipping.
I have seen the yugoslavian mausers for rather cheap lately too.
BTW, sorry to derail the thread?
