perhaps a islamic radical stereotype, but saying its an islamic stereotype is like saying attending military funerals with rainbow signs saying "GOD HATES FAGS" is a christian stereotype
I don't know. Ask the guy that cut off his wife's head. He started the TV station in light of 9/11, so apparantly he thought that suicide bombing was a Muslim stereotype. Is your position that suicide bombing is a Muslim stereotype, but beheading isn't?

In March 2007, at a closed military hearing in Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed said that he had personally beheaded Pearl.

    Re: Oh the Islamic Irony

beheadings are rampant throughout the war going on in the darfur area, indian slums, mexican drug cartels, etc...

Either way islam is a religion, I don't think my neighborhood mosque is promoting beheadings as corporal punishment. These are stereotypes of extremist organizations and governments, not the religion itself. Saying beheadings are stereotypes of islam is promoting an anti-islamic sentiment.

Reminds me of the movie "Rendition."

Has everyone here seen it? The suspected terrorist is tortured until he confesses. Is told everything will be alright once he confesses. You never know sometimes I guess. That's why Guantanamo exists maybe?

FYI, opening a can of whoop ass is corporal punishment. Beheading isn't corporal punishment, it's capital punishment. Corporal and capital are different things, that's why they have different words.

Hmm... I seem to remember a passage of the Koran specifically recommending lopping off the heads of non-believers...

    Interesting discussion here:
