Re: Simple Question
People have to realize that although a subject may be controversial it is still worth Talking about intelligently! Furthermore most people will Not have their minds Changed even when presented with 'evidence' to the contrary. LMAO Some people are just Boneheads ! Its just like listening to Rush Limbaugh.....I don't support Everything he says but you have to admit that he gets you thinking about a subject and Talking about it rather than Ignorring it ! I have found in my 50+ years of living on this Planet that most people would rather Ignor a problem than solve it because it requires EFFORT that they are not willing to put forth. There is one other thing I've learned over the years there are basically two types of people in the world...... the ones that are part of the Problem and ones that are part of the Solution. The former Far outweigh the latter ! I like to be part of the Few. I LIKE to be part of the Solution !

Re: Simple Question
The controversial threads are cleaner than they used to be. That's something we should be proud of.
There is also a latent value in us allowing such threads and trying to moderate the discussions in a fruitful direction. The value is this:
If, God forbid, there is another Columbine type event and it gets blamed on violent video games then TTP can say with all honesty that we are not part of the problem, but rather part of the solution. TTP encourages settling differences through communication and not violence. Politics and religion threads provide great practice in getting through tough conversations that really matter if and when they arise.
