I showed this to my mom and her husband and both of them said that nothing the "detainee" said or the shoe flip was enough to react like that. They both hope he gets fired and charged. My mom works at the Hayes county jail (San Marcos, TX) and her husband used to and is now a deputy there.

You're both right and wrong here...It varies by state but you CAN be charged with Disturbing the Peace or others, especially if you made any gestures. Most of the time if you are arrested in the case where you only cursed at the officer, it will be discharged. BUT, after making a fool of yourself you now have attracted attention to your self and every action you take will be scrutinized by that officer or officers, if he/she decides to call in for assistance. If you make a gesture toward the officer while cursing you can and most of the time will be arrested with assault as part of the charge.

Nevertheless, it makes you look immature and utterly ridiculous, and if you were my child I would beat your ass.

In regards to this crap, i'd have that son of a bitches badge as well as a departmental investigation by an outside agency since this officer has been let off previously on conduct charges. I'm sure his badge and gun are tabled for now pending investigation, especially since this is out in the media now. what is even more messed up, is he BEAT HER WHILE SHE WAS DOWN AND RESTRAINED! 2 punches to the back of the head, that can kill someone. She does NOT have to be restrained by cuffs or ties in order to be considered restrained and you can definitely tell in the video that she was NOT resisting. Audio, you don't need audio, it's a 15 year old girl.

You took the wrong side to defend kraker you are not going to win.

Nobody is bad mouthing cops in general because society needs them. Sure people might not like them but they are there to do their job. Thing is we need good honest cops who actually want to make a difference.

You call this making a difference? I am sure that family and that girl has lost faith in the system and now she will have a fear with cops.

The girl was 15 kraker underage.
Was she in a juvenile detention center? That girl's brain has not fully developed and at that age her emotions can get the best of her. Police should take this in consideration and I am sure most do when dealing with a 15yo boy or girl.

Kraker you might be the only one in the United States who thinks this action was justified. I am sure that makes you proud though right?

Way over the line in this video, but as I gathered from not really paying attention to the news reports on this this weekend she was caught stealing a car? If so THATS when the beatings should have been handed out.
