Possible 360 RROD fix?

So my buddy's 360 got the Red Ring of Death, many of you have encountered it and I may have a fix.

First of all, my friend and i took off one side of the 360

Second, we towel tricked it (which failed)

third, we discovered that if you put pressure in between the 2 X's hard enough and you start the 360 the it will start, however we did this without the AV cords. (this is while the 360 is upside down) then we flipped it over and voila! It works.

So after brainstorming we used a bowling ball and an empty wallet to apply pressure, without using teamwork. Put the wallet in between the two X's and the bowling ball on the Xbox 360 logo. And hit the power button.

All of this was done without the face plate on. Still experimenting.

It all depends on how long his xbox plays halo before it goes back to red ring, and if he can keep that bowling ball on there long enough. :9

You have to drop it into place.

Better yet just lay the ps3 ontop!!!! :4

I am about to send the xbox back for the 2nd time.

Damn that's crafty, if I ever get ring ill have to make sure to try that. Brother once got full ring and flipped out smashed my controller, I told him that that just mean the power cable is loose. Sure he felt like a dumbass.

Real fix instead of a bowling ball; get rod of the "X" brackets and switch to the usual "H" brackets found with cpu's. It puts more pressure on the chip...$10 fix and ive never had a problem since then.

Better fix: Trade in your Xbox for a PS3, and never have to deal with the red ring of death ever again :10

Great time to buy killzone 2 for the ps3. This is THE GRAPHICALLY defining game of the ps3 , and the multiplayer is on a cod level of deepness with unlocks, ribbons, full stat tracking , streaming video of your matches on killzone.com. Its really amazing.

The ragdolls are rediculous and you can shoot peoples helmets off or get your head blown off by a sniper or shotty.
