Anyone here have a Business Administration degree?

So I recently changed my major to Business Administration and will be graduating this summer. My question to anyone who has this degree is, what fields did you get involved in or what are some potential job fields that look for a BA?

I graduated with a BBA in Marketing. Basically most business degress are fairly generic and can be used for getting in the door at most companies and most jobs whethere it be sales, marketing, consultant etc..

What you might want to focus on is getting a good internship while in school and building your contacts and that will help greatly in getting to where you want to go.

Contacts are probably the most important thing I am quickly learning.

BA in business with an emphasis in marketing. I use both aspects for the company I work for. I am in retail and run four stores. I will say it is good for the theory side of things with some practical applications, but there is nothing like OJT.

Undergrad? :shrug:

One of my grad degrees is in business, with a finance concentration, but I'm an engineer first. It did a good job of helping me go in the technical management direction, rather than staying on a purely technical track.

I have a BS IN BA and that is exactly what it allows you to do. You can BS your way into any business job using that title. I went into Finance initially - hated it - then went into Sales and love it. I like to use the full scope of business when talking. Honestly, coming right out of college, it doesn't really matter what degree you have...As long as you are passionate and are willing to work hard, you can go after whatever you want.
