I'm not sure how much coverage Google has for street view, but in terms of places I've been to... Prague, Salzburg, and Heidelburg are pretty scenic. I'd also hit up the usual touristy spots like Paris, Rome, Vienna... Yeah.

Downtown Nuremberg, Germany is pretty. It is a walled city and most of the wall is still intact. Look for street names that end in -mauer. Those are the ones that run along the border wall, or mauer in German.

Panic Belgium is beautiful !! I was in Waterloo and Bastogne back in 2001 ! My uncle fought in the Battle of the Bulge and my ex and I travelled in his footsteps from Normandy to Bastogne. For all of you who have never been to Europe .......... you should all make the trip to Normandy. We spent a week there and it was Very enlightening......... you have no idea from history books Exactly how big of an area Normandy encompassed. The Beachheads were about 250 Km from end to end and most everything is still intact Bunkers and pillboxes even barbed wire and trenches are still there. The Omaha Beach Memorial is simply Amazing and when you're there there are just No Words to describe the Feelings and Emotions that it will stir in you !

Not where modernization has taken over. The cities they told you are pretty, yeah, scenic, yeah. But to see what's REALLY quaint about Germany, you need to get off the beaten track.
