Go look up some reviews. "Far Cry is the greatest game to come around since Halflife 1"....I think I saw 3 reviews say that nearly exact phrase.

but oh, you thought it sucked. so it must have.

the whole point of a demo is to see if you like it or not. if you play the demo and think it sucks, are you going to buy the game to see if the rest of it is any better? fuck no. you play the demo to see if you want to spend your money on it. so yes, basing opinions on demos is just fine. i've bought games based on demos before... ok, i bought one game based on a demo... but i've turned away from plenty based on demo's or a few minutes of play because, a few minutes of play should be enough for you to see if you like a game or not. if you have to sit and play a game for hours before you can decide you actually like it, that means that the game is shitty, but now you have just grown accustomed to it's shitty-ness. so, my point about saying far-cry sucked based on a short demo does make sense. i played it for a few minutes and said "fuck it, i'm gonna go play CSS" or maybe Diablo 2, i don't remember exactly what... like that matters, because either way i still switched to a different, better game

i seem to remember you saying that the reviews aren't very accurate. also, i don't take what some reviewer says as my own fucking opinion. hell, i hated the first Halo, but look at how many reviewers showered it with (undeserved) praise. and yeah, of course you saw reviewers say that... probably on an ad FOR THE FUCKING GAME.
