Re: Foot protection.
for running, I'm straight up an Asics fan....if they lasted through two seasons of drumline, they can take ANYTHING!
I"m actually going out monday to get new shoes...my asics are four years old, and I've worn through the rubber to the soft foamy-stuff beneath the ball of my big toes :-P
But I was wondering...I also wear my cross-trainers to ride my longboard (skateboard--not surfboard). I do it as a work out, so I'm doing about 3-4 miles a day on that thing, so uncomfortable skate shoes are outta the question....that and alot of the time, when the asphalt on the trail is bad, I'll jog for half a mile or so....
Anybody know good cross trainers that offer a good surface for longboarding?
as for casual? Sanuk flip flops, or Sanuk sidewalk surfers.....the sidewalk surfers are basically a flip-flop bottom, with a light canvas upper so it looks like a shoe, but wears like a flip flop :-P
And work? shoes for crews classic lowtops....non-slip soles (I work at a restaurant) but they look like leather chuck taylors :-P

I'm actually looking for a new pair of running shoes. I've got some good Reefs for flip-flops, and some Chocos for sandals, but my tennis shoes are starting to look shitty. Anyone have recommendations? Being comfortable/durability are what matter to me, but I wouldn't mind something aesthetically pleasing.
enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P
Bigdog-Sweet home Alabama you are an idiot.
