Care to help with my report on P.O.W. M.I.A's?
Got sick on wednesday and im finally feeling alright enough to write this paper thats dues tuesday. 15 pages on pow mia.
Its a research paper so I'm in need of information regarding current and past events (most of the paper should be centered on issues with the current though)
Some key points I want to hit (if you have any suggest them): Treatment of POWS, ways of locating mias, retrieval methods, physical conditions, mental conditions, and past and current stories of them (although im having a hard time locating current things) Also going to write a bit about Guantanamo, and something interesting cokeops found for me (http://www.aiipowmia.com/731/731caveat.html)
And heres the kicker...i go to a catholic school...this paper is for my theology class. So does anyone know some really good catholic writing about this? I have some things but I figured a lot of you have been around longer so you might know a bit more.
Thanks in advance,
Oradi.

Do a google search for "Just War Theory" it is a religious/philosophical idea of when wars can be considered "just". Specifically look at the sections about "Jus in bello" which will address the treatment of non-combatants and captured soldiers.

Good place to start, and I'm sure that you would get bonus points for referencing just war theory.

My teachers a dick. Haha. Impossible to read. Hes taught most of his life. Says he was a monk at one point. He always thinks hes right and doesnt leave room for people to argue their opinion.
And I knew about just war, didnt know it included peoples rights. Thanks! :9

Check out info on the POW Museum in Andersonville, GA.

http://www.nps.gov/ande/
Also, might want to throw in some stuff on the Apostle Paul...some would call his imprisonment as a Prisoner of Spiritual Warfare...that could link in Theology.
