Re: Did you hear the BOOM!?
That's some crazy shit. A few years ago, my mom and I were hanging out in the house when we heard this huge explosion and the whole house shook. I initially thought the hot water heater must have exploded. We go running through the house and into the garage to find it intact. After checking the house for a minute we venture outside and the sky is glowing yellow. This is at like 9 or 10 at night. One of the refineries on the other side of town had an explosion and it rocked my house probably 15 miles away as the crow flies. Thank God it wasn't anything deadly. My Dad is a retired fire chief and he has taken me around showing me all the tanks that if they sprung a leak would kill everyone in a 10 mile radius. Beaumont is surrounded by shit like that.

Ive seen a number of small meteorites but nothing on the scale of a rocket booster, I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that it exploded with such force, it moved the glass in my front window from 500 miles away.... amazing.
