Typically, it's not the mixing that's the issue. When they master it, the mastering engineer compresses the hell out of it so everything is LOUD. Seems to be a common occurrence in today's music industry. The last 2 Rush studio albums were ruined by compression. Vapor Trails moreso than Snakes & Arrows.

I do like their new album and agree with the rest about the sound. You could always buy the album and download the cleaner sound version and technically fell good about it.

They have been playing about the same 12 songs every night and vary the other 6. Normally they play about 5 songs from the new album, but the other day they played 7. They like to toss in a few covers every now and then. I really hope they play more than one (<--hehe) from Justice. Sorrow, Dyers, Justice, Blackened, damn can't they play them all :P .

It will be my first time seeing them in concert.

The times I went they always play the new shit first.. and take a nice long break.. most of the kids think they are done and leave..

DO NOT LEAVE.. just wait..they will come back out and play the old stuff starting with the Kill'em all.. and go from there. The last time I saw them it was a 5 hour show..

of course the last time I saw then re-load just came out, but I doubt they would leave the old school fans without giving them fix..

Damn for being the first time it was intense. During MOP and Battery the place was deafening. I realize the setlist probably isn't that good compared to the guys that saw them in the late 80's early 90's (Dex you bastard seeing them all those times

), but all in all I was happy. I like I Disappear so that was good for me. They played too much Magnetic for me, but this is the Death Magnetic tour.

Oh and BTW it sucks going to sleep at 1:00AM and waking up at 5:30AM. Dedicated I am to my daughters volleyball.

Whats the best site to use to get good tickets for there shows? Idk if the sites are different depending on where you live but i was looking at ticket master, Are there any better?

Ticketmaster are the official sellers of the tickets (and they are evil

). Some venues use different companies, but Ticketmaster has a hold on 90% of the venues. If you can buy the those that will always be the best deal unless someone is losing money. After that it is the ticket resellers.

It is an aggregator of 50+ ticket sites and shows you the rows/sections in a graphical form.
