Metallica Tour

I just bought my tickets today and I am pumped. It will be my first time seeing them in concert. I will be going with my wife, sister-in-law and brother-in-law.

Anyone else going to any of their concerts?

Also to let you guys know they are being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame tomorrow night at 8PM CMT on the channel 'fuse'. They will be playing and they will have a special guest as a second bassist. Yup Jason will be returning to play with Metallica again.

2. I love the new album...even though its mixed like shit. I have seen them 8 times,starting with Master of Puppets Tour....they kick sooo much ass live!

Ive seen Metallica a grand total of 4 times in concert and every time it was friggin awesome. You'll have a good time man, no doubt.

The new album kicks ass! I have only seen them once and would love to again. Years ago, I worked for a radio station and had the opportunity to see them at LSU in Looserana. It was the Black album tour and the had a stage shaped like a coffin that was surrounded by the crowd. In the middle of the stage was a pit that would hold about 20 people. I got to stand in that pit and watch the show. It was fucking awesome to be feet away from the band and be able to see the crowd from their viewpoint. The pit was set below stage level so you could see behind the scenes and see Lars' drum kits come up and down out of the stage. Above the pit was an x shaped catwalk so the the band could walk over us. Kirk was doing a solo and took off his guitar and dangled it above our heads. I swear, if he held that thing a couple of inches closer, that bitch was coming home with me. Great show and I highly recommend you go if you get the chance. Absolutely badass.

I had the chance to see that show in Houston in 1992. I ended up going to Lollapalooza instead, because my girlfriend at the time wasn't into Metallica. To this day I regret not seeing that show, but Lollapalooza did kick some major ass.
