    Video Editing

Alright, so I want to get into some video editing. Of course, game wise.

Now there are two things I would like, a big external hard drive, and a nice and easy video editing program.

Keep in mind, I won't get these until my birthday (May 30th), but it's good to plan ahead, right?

Here is the HDD I was looking at, yes I know it's a 1TB.

Here is the editing software, Sony Vegas Movie Studio 9.

What does TTP's video editors think about this setup?

    Re: Video Editing

    Did you get into it?

Sony Vegas is a very good program for basic as well as professional editing. PM me if you need some help with it.

Unfortunately that's a no, my dad doesn't have a job and I only work 1, 3 hour shift a week so I can't afford it.

    Re: Video Editing

1 Tb is not bad, footage will take up more space than you think. For my chopper videos I had about 200 gigs of FRAPS video at a time. Plus, if you are like me, you will keep that until you realize "oh, I only have 20 gigs left", followed by, "wait I don't want to get rid of all this". I wish I had gotten a 1 Tb over the 640, because I only had about 590 gigs of usable space, and I am running a OS off of it as well.

To each is his own when it comes to editing, I really like vegas, but I really like final cut, just depends on what computer I am running.
