Fake Scan Webpage Alert

Not sure which forum is correct for this but to make everyone aware, twice already an attempt from : total-virusprotection.co 83.133.123.166,80 has been blocked by my virus program. It is identified as a Fake Scan Webpage by Nortons

It trys to look and act as though Windows is alerting you to a virus infection, it is in fact redirecting you to download their crap product, without your consent.

I bring this to your attention so that you may take whatever steps you deem necessary to stop this intrusion.

I deliberately left the m off of .com, so as not to make it a workable link.

I could agree with you, if it were not for the fact that it started today, when I visited TTP, and it only happens while I'm here.

And I'm not in the habit of opening email from unexpected scources, or visiting bizarre websites (TTP excepted)

Same here it got blocked twice but only when trying to get onto ttp. Ran both my scans and nothing makes me think somethings up here.

That site just came up for me, I was looking at this thread and I was scrolling up to navigate out and before I clicked FF brought me to the malicious site warning and that was the like in the address bar
