Bass do not eat poop. They are meat eaters.

    So am I.

Nice rig by the way Sambo, did you have to sell your soul to afford it?

I already sold my soul to counterstrike. I had to pay money for this one

I've always used Lowrance units and can say they did a real good job. I've always wanted to get a humminbird SI just for that advantage. Now I won't have to waste my time trolling through a cove looking for bass with a sonar only showing 20 degrees below the rear of the boat. The SI sonar can be setup to shoot 150+ feet left and right side of the boat. Now i can just drive in a cove down the middle and see everything at once. No more wasting time. In and out.

    Thanks for the comments fellas!

This is what I have on my boat. Not nearly as nice as Sambo's set up but my boat is not for fishing. I use the XM weather every summer as we have T-Storms all the time. 3-4 minute delayed doppler on the boat can keep you dry most of the summer. Not to mention up to date storm warnings, traffic guidance and chart plotter. It is an all in one GPS first but does have depth sounder ability. Never hooked my sonar to it.

Anyone want to draw me a guide on how the side sonar works? I stared at it for 5 minutes and couldn't figure it out. (By works I mean what are the walls of the cove and what are the fish)

That's pretty cool Nuck. I was looking into picking up the weathersense module just for those reasons.

Here's video of exactly how it works and examples of what you are seeing.

Its Awesome dude. We dodge storms all summer. The lake we frequent has like 500 miles of shoreline. The furthest two points are probably 30 miles. During the summer in Alabama we get the pop corn showers and thunderstorms. The kind that are ferocious but only 2-3 miles in diameter. If we are floating and see a storm coming we just crank up and move up or down the lake to avoid it. Some days we have to do this two or three times. It does not take but once to get caught in a storm on a boat to figure out a way to not do it again.
