So I just got an email that said my XBox Live account is going to be charged without my say in any way unless I call their support line, which will most likely be some shit outsourced company, and have to tell them my account name, password, and then tell them that I want automatic renewal of my account to be turned off.
What is the fucking logic behind this? I should be able to tell them not to automatically charge me money with a feature I never turned on in the first fucking place and did not exist at the time of me charging the amount, so I never consented to it, this is fucking bullshit.
Worst part is I will probably have to miss a class or wait for a school holiday before I can call so I can get it done during business hours....

They should never ask for your password or account information.
If you go online and discontinue the service, just save the confirmation page (screenshots work) and they can't bring any action against you. Well, they could, but they would lose. Just delete your credit card information from your account, if they charge it...well then they're at fault.
Also telling your bank that the payment is not authorized is another way to go. Although, this just stops the payment from going through, it does not deactivate the account service from Microsoft.

Yeah, but microsoft does not allow you to discontinue or remove your credit card if your subscription is still being carried out. So I have no chance of telling it not to start the next subscription before the new one starts. It fucking pisses me off.

Like previously stated...call the bank and tell them you don't want to pay for it, and you microsoft won't cancel the subscription.
I highly doubt M$ would ask for your account password...sounds like phishing to me.

Sad part is they got you by the balls. "Dont like it? Then do use our service." Supply and demand is a hell of a thing.
