First of all - f'ing WOW!

I *REALLY* liked how completely they re-shuffled the deck with the whole creation of an alternate reality...10,000 surviving Vulcans after Nero destroyed the planet...amazing.

From here, with the rest of the movies, they are pretty much entirely unbound by the previous plot and story line...with Vulcan out of the picture, what will happen in the next movie?

Klingons?

What parts did you not like, from a story standpoint? When Planet Vulcan got eaten, my friend and I looked at each other like "That changes everything!!"

What if Kirk gets to deal with the Borg because of this shift in the space time continuum?

And when Kirk was eating the apple during that test - remember in Star Trek II when he came into the room as an admiral for that same test - and he was eating an apple?

I also loved how the red-shirt guy ate it on that drill platform...when Sulu (in gold) and Kirk (in blue) and that 3rd guy (in red) all went down, my buddy whispered to me "The red-shirt is gonna bite it."

And sure enough!

I saw it Thursday night at a sneak preview. I had 2 bones to pick with the movie.

We sure we're cool with spoilers?

And with the way they did this movie? Every Star Trek as you've seen it no longer exists. The whole space time continuum has been respun. Guess what that means......

Yep, more Star Trek movies with the new cast of characters since the Shatner version as already shown no longer applies. Yay, more sequels :::: retch :::

That movie was freakin awesome!

I'm not a big trekkie (sp?), so I don't know how much of the storyline they ruined, etc, but it was overall a thoroughly enjoyable movie. Acting, graphics, storyline and everything else seemed very Star Trek-like and appropriate.

Yeah, Uhuru and Spock threw me for a loop...but whatever.

I like the tension between her and Kirk...

And I am looking forward to more sequels! That was a great movie and an outstanding cast - I would watch it over and over.

Uhura and Spock was like WTF!!! but ok....

I loved the whole thing. I like the new Romulans. I never guessed Nero was Eric Bana.

Spock Prime & Spock was really cool to see. I'm sure the continuity geeks will be disecting this till the next century.

And yes Consultant - OF COURSE the red Ensign will bite it!!! lol

I saw the sneak peek as well and now I wanna see it in IMAX. OMG It's gonna be fuckin awesome in IMAX!!!
