We, the great United States, last remaining Super-Power, spend much more on domestic economic development than we do on military stuff.
It would be hard to argue that the DoD budget is too large. And just for kicks, check this out:

My post was not to condemn the amount we are spending on the military, I just do not think it is always spent wisely.

The bailout is a one time spend, the military budget is annual.

Frankly I sincerely doubt the bailout is working. California, New Jersey, Health Insurance Companies... etc, etc, are now all in line for a bailout.
