The sks myth was that russian 'gangstas' had sks rifles in their car with a loud booming stereo. The stereo was so loud that the free floating firing pin in an sks set off the chambered rounds.

There was also a myth about blowing ones own thumb off by holding a revolver the wrong way when firing and another about thermite causing explosive effects on ice.

I may have been watching the show from season one over the last few weeks. It's good TV, and there's a healthy blend of science and blow-shit-uppery.
