I understand your position Hawg... I just disagree that taking a moral high ground will protect actual lives. Elements in this world hate us, because we exist and for that we deserve to die.
I have seen torture work. Granted it wasnt the US doing the work in this instance (Kurds) , but the intel we got was good enough to action in Mosul. Overall, just like alot of things the idea and method is imperfect. Sure harsh methods dont work 100% of the time but nothing ever does....Whether or not we actually use them should be secondary to the perception of our capability to use them. No point in disclosing our operational limits that is just poor OPSEC.
