How would I know if I broke my hand?

I broke my hand in HS and didnt know for two weeks. I found out when someone put their hand on top of mine while sitting at a desk, I almost screamed. Until that point it was just kinda tight and painful to move, but no swelling or discoloration. Only way to be sure is to get an X-ray. As someone else said though, unless the bones arent aligned in the break, theres nothing they will do other than splinting it, which you can do yourself.

Went to the doctor and told him I fell skateboarding, he giggled and told me I was lying and that it was a boxers fracture.

had one of those once. apparently i thought i could punch through a 2 inch solid oak door, man was i wrong.

I broke my leg once and didn't know for two days. You can break a bone and Think its nothing if its a clean break. If I was you I'd get an xray to be sure. Having said that a broken bone can cause further complications down the road like infection and arthritis way down the road.
See a Doctor
