    Hells ya dude

Goldeneye was my first as well. I remember my older brother bought it on the Friday after the N64 came out and we seriously logged like 50 hours in one weekend. Oh man such good times. Wolfenstein was a bit before my time. But my brother said that was a good FPS.

To all you young people out there that have never experienced low FPS games...

Notice the picture on the firstpage, it says:

640k of ram. This means about 1/2 of 1 megabyte, most computers half thousands of megs of ram now.

Hard Disk Drive. Thats right, it didn't matter the size, it just needed to HAVE one. Most computers back then just ran on floppy disks, no hard drives.

286+.... jesus.. your looking at like a 33 megahert computer. Windows calculator uses more processor then this poor game!

Mouse optional.. you could play this game just by the keyboard!

Blue Max on the Commodore 64, a computer that took the large floppies, atari style cartridges, an external hard drive or a tape drive (yes, reel to reel gents). It could use Atari 2600 controllers and ran via a color television set.

Until you have played Zork on that, you haven't played Zork.

You have been eaten by a grue.

I had a C 128, but similar setup. There was a first person game I had for the C64, I think Raiders of the Lost Tomb or something.
One of my favorite things about Zork, though, is you can play it on anything -- they have Palm and iPhone ports of it -- and the graphics are just as good as ever. I've been playing Zork 2 for something like 20 years now (I'm stuck in the maze).

I think you have me beat Blake

Thanks Attackrabbit, I am now in the process of finding that song so I can download it, and for some reason I now think text based games are fun.

Text based games are fun because they have the best graphics, your endless imagination in HD with unlimited resolution....

You can download all 3 zork games for free from Infocom. They also have a Mac version.

You can also download Telengard from the author's website.

I had all of this except for the pen pad doo dad.

I also had about 4 times the floppies with more games than I could shake a stick at.
