Chickenfoot!

Hey everyone, just wanted to share a new band that I am sure you will all love.

Chickenfoot is the creation of Sammy Hagar, Joe Satriani, Michael Anthony, and Chad Smith (drummer of Red Hot Chili Peppers)

The band is a modern approach at blues rock, in essence a modern Zeppelin.

Their new self titled album is GREAT, the lyrics are very simple and sing-along rock style. They are gonna make 3 stops in Texas: Houston, Corpus Christi, and Grand Prarie.

Yeah, as a whole I like their album alot, just a good solid rock album. It's really cool just because Satriani actually played in a band with a singer instead of just by himself, and he's still got some crazy guitar work. It's funny because as I looked at this post Chickenfoot was playing on my computer. :9

I dig their album. Sounds just like something Van Hagar would have put out back in the day. Always been a big Sammy Hagar fan (even before Van Halen.)

I saw them at the Park West in Chicago a few weekends ago. I was impressed with the show, they were very tight, sounded great and looked like they were having a lot of fun. Satriani was the highlight (Sammy and Chad were awesome too) and had a solo in just about every song. \m/

edit number two: this was the night the blackhawks won in OT against the redwings, and Chad put on a redwings shirt to finish the show

^^^ Looks like that was a great show! Did they play any Halen,Peppers or Hagar tunes as well?

Next time I'm in BB.....I'll be picking this up....fo sho! :6
