Back when capitalism was for real . . .

Interesting article on why the National Endowment for the Arts hurts the US art culture.

Makes sense to a point since 30+ years ago artists sold art as a job, not just to make it for expression. You remember folks like Andy Warhol, but today there aren't artists with as much national fame and some folks believe it is because of the NEA.
I'm not sure if it is, or if art just isn't as culturally popular as it has been, but it is interesting nonetheless.
