RE: need motivation to lose weight? <kinda NOT safe work&

i think i'll go ahead with ym consideration of going jogging on the gazelle (it gets cold in illinois, im not running outside with snow and ice in 25* weather), i'd rather stay inside being comfy and watching some comedy central while i jog.

[This is open to everyone, non-RPers included. I'd like your opinions, too.]
I like to make one of these threads every once in a while. It's time for one.
We've had several months of fairly decent RPing since we replaced the LM RP with the DT RP. In that time, the lot of us have had a good number of experiences with running a RP. But, we aren't perfect, by any means.
I've always wanted to expand the RP. I'm not just talking more nations, more features, more activity, et cetera (okay, well I am, but that's not the focus). I'm talking something large enough that we'd need multiple forums just to handle it all. But, most important of all, I'd like to make it something that has some kind of appeal to everyone. I think we're missing out on the potential this RP has for everyone. Right now I'd say we're too focused on a single entity (that being, conflict). That doesn't appeal to everyone, whilst at the same time things that could be implemented that would be of interest are left unexplored and unused. I want to change that.
So, I have five simple questions I'd like for all of you to answer. Your true thoughts and feelings, as well as a high degree of seriousness, are what would work best in this instance.
1. What would you be most interested in seeing replicated in the RP (in other words, what would interest you the most)? Some food for thought: Are you one who prefers to sit back and work the diplomatic tables? Are you a warmonger and want to be in constant battles against implacable foes? Would you want to represent an arms dealer who claims to be selling peace but likes to make shady deals under the table? Are you a terrorist and want to simulate your own organization?
Expanding upon this question a bit, I'd like to contemplate creating, shall we say, "multiple RPs." That's not to say that we'd have an LM RP, a DT RP, a FU RP, et cetera, but rather a "general RP" (essentially what we have now), and then smaller sections that would deal with more specific elements, such as terrorism, the arms trade or something of that sort, space, and so on. Some would function independent of the rest (the Space RP, for example, would be purely a "for fun" kind of thing taken up by anyone who's interested), others would be incorporated into the general RP (the Regional Council or terrorism, for example). Any suggestion, really, for a section could theoretically be applied.
2. With what we've got right now, what would you change? How would you change it, and why do you think it needs change?
3. What do you like most about the features we have? Would you expand upon them, and how?
4. What feature(s) would you rejoice over seeing disappear? Would you replace them with anything, or would you rather them be left to die?
5. How would you improve the interaction between nations (in other words, how would you increase the level of activity and the degree of that activity)? Would you want features added/removed/altered, or is there something else you think would work?
Your thoughts, please.

Cowboy's Terrorist organization is, In my Opinion, like godmodding. Rather than point it out, complain about this, and otherwise be a dick, I've decided to bring back my old Mr. Meat shtick to deal with it, and have a bit of fun in the process.
I'd also like to see the old LM space rp brought back.

I can't think of anything else that I would want to completely remove.

That reminds me. I need to finish that warfare guidebook I promised I'd write I don't know how far back.
Would doing so still help anyone here?

In addition to the "main" forums, you'd have what I'd guess you'd call "off-shoots" -- that is to say, forums that are related to Nationstates and the RP, but don't have any effect upon the main RP. Pretty generally, this would be the Space RP and any other one that we come up with that wouldn't unbalance or overall just not fit well into the main RP. It would all be optional and completely separate.
I think we're coming short when it comes to the diplomacy side. From the few RP sites that I've briefly browsed through, it seems like diplomacy is a major part. So, I think we're missing something there.
I'm not sure how we can increase diplomacy without things getting too dry.
The area that I think we can expand the most is the Regional Council. Most (if not all) of the meetings and resolutions have dealt with some sort of conflict. I think we can get some discussions going about more peaceful topics where unique personalities and such can come more into play and be more developed.
I think the time system that we established should be dumped ( I think it largely has). Attempting to convert real time to RP team seemed to break down in the face of slower story lines, varying interest, and different real life schedules.
It seems better to just let the storyline flow naturally by letting the participants informally dictate the time and pace.
I've been giving some thought to what Mr Psi mentioned a few weeks back about condensing the map. I like the way the map is now because there's plenty of room for expansion and long-tern change. However, it's really tough on relations when your neighbors are so far away. There's few adjacent borders that can create tension and lead to more interaction.
Perhaps we ought to re-make the map.

I'm thinking that might be better if we had more control over everything (because the simple fact is it really irritates people when someone consistently threatens to nuke the world in order to get their way).
