I guess what you say is true Festus............ I guess like an 'Old Soldier' I should just Fade Away.
A relic from a bygone era. Too old to understand. Too feeble to do anything. Too senile to know things could Never be the way they were in years past. I guess the next thing 'they' will want is to euthanize anybody over 50.
Sometimes I'm glad I'm as old as I am........... so I won't have to deal with all the F-ing up they are doing right now for their Instant Gratification.
I didn't realize that when I said 'till death do us part' .......... I was actually setting a Goal !

CONGRATS on the anniversary Festus ! BTW Logans Run was one of those movies that is hard to forget. Part of that was filmed in Dallas when they came out in the fountain.

I don't get the relavence of the Kent State vid. It is an anti-war protest, that which I think BBM would have been on the opposite side of the protesters.........

Actually Hawg to be honest I was against the war........ sorry to disappoint you. Having said that when my draft number came up #3 in 1972 I enlisted in the Air Force and was sent to Da Nang. And yes I was in 'the rear with the gear'....... if there was a rear. But even though I was against the war I served and didn't run off to Canada like alot of others did.

See that's the problem in a nutshell so many people look at life in tunnel vision, there is no relevance in the causes but there is similarities in protesters.#1 students for the most part in peaceful demonstration #2 a few numbnuts start fires #3 militias feel their loosing control and react with lethal force #4 innocent people are killed and wounded #5 concluded with the resignation of a president the first in our history and possibly Iran as well time will tell.As a post note I would be willing to bet that if present events in Iran was happening here the outcome quite possibly would be the same
