oh noes they are going to force home builders create more efficient homes by 35%

Who would want to save on energy? Its not like if all the households in America was running on less juice we would save.

    Oh wait I know.

The electric companys are blowing up their buddies (who they helped with $$$ come campaign time) tele's on the hill the reject this.

Its all about profit and fuck how we do it just as long as we get paid BIG BIG MONEY so we can live the high life.

I think you might be talking about Dusty Rhodes?(and not the wwrestler)....

I love lesbians. Seriously, my girl says that deep down every girl wants a fag for a freind, well I am opposite, I have a plethora of dyke friends. A couple of Skin-chicks, a couple of lipstick dykes, a couple of the Boyz, and a little bit of all...... All hot and all great people. I would throw Rachel a couple os shot, if she would let me.....

Well, wont it be made retroactive? Meaning before you can sell your home you have to "re-model" according to whatever the government tells you to? Perfect, people are already having a tough time selling their home, now they have to shell out more money (Which most people dont have), because the majority of our congress likes to hump trees.

I dont even know what to say anymore. This guy spews out ideas that sound great and look good on paper, but in reality, they arent going to workout.

"I want to end world hunger" "I want to give everyone in the world a puppy" Blah blah blah.... driving this country straight off a cliff. But at least he looks good and sounds good doing it....obviously a better pres than Bu-bu-bu- Bush

You are twisted. Read the bill. Profit has jack shite to do with it. I just moved into a brand new house...it cut my utility bill by more than half ($250)....That is the current building code as it is enforced. People will do what is advantageous for them to do. No one wants to pay more than they should for power but making the cost of the mortgages, buiding materials, and permits more expensive will help who exactly? You want people to become more energy efficient? How about dropping all taxes/permit fees for energy efficient improvements (and the companies that make them)? Better yet allow homeowners to deduct the value of the improvements from their applicable appraised taxable value when property taxes are due. Truth be told, I plan on powering my own house and the next house I build will be ICF (Insulated concrete forms for the construction impaired)...make it cheaper for people to do that and alot of people will go that route, but do not attempt to manipulate people by forcing top down control.

    Twisted.

    Yea ok.

Thing is at the end of the day you will still be ranting and the bill will be passed. According to you, lets keep everything the same never changing.

    Sucka.

Right. You clearly miss the fundamental argument. Please tell me when exactly I advocated the status quo?

Now, do you have a basis as to why I am incorrect? How about comment on whether or not the alternatives I suggested would not work? Anything meaningful?

You have such faith in the government do you? Work with alot of Agencies? DSS, DCMA, DCAA, NIA, ODAA, OPM, ICE, FBI among others...

Can you offer a similar understanding of federal agency operation?

Perhaps you are planning on running a business based on alternative energy?

What reason do you have to support the bill? Or do you simply follow along because someone claiming to be a Democrat and similarly claiming to have the "environment's best interest" in mind when they wrote it said it was a good thing...

Or maybe you read the altenative bill that was proposed and found it lacking? I sure would like to know...

I'm a little confused. But Profit has everything to do with it.

Sure they'll boost building houses effeciency by 35%. You might pay a little cheaper electric/gas bill for a little while. Then the power companies will catch on (or rather they planned this) will raise the cost of power to your house so you will pay more for using less. Because they are not getting the amount of cash flow they were getting with houses that were "under code".

Furthermore, forcing people to pay money for something because the government wants to "save the earth" is just wrong. If they want to or can afford to, they can upgrade their house themselves. The government shouldn't tell people how to live.

Jason doesnt have a clue what this means for him. He's still buying into the Obama hype that he will actually do things differently. Basically, if conservatives arent happy, Jason is happy....until he realizes what an idiot Obama is, then I'm sure it'll be conservatives fault somehow....Jason I hope you enjoy your exceedingly high electric bill. If you want to have a more environmentally friendly house, go ahead, but dont force me to go broke by shoving your tree humping views on me.
