NO ONE CARES. Seriously, no one. Well, no one that matters anyway. The truth is the article has a lot of merit, and the speech could easily be applied to many nations throughout the history of civilization.

A look at 2050 sort of spells out a grim future for the United States. It is a future in which I fear for my children to say the least.

The middle class is almost going to be nonexistent.

The US standard of living is going to be that of a Third World nation.

Disease and epidemics are rampant due to collapse of our infrastructure and health system.

The citizens who saw this coming have fled to a few states or a geographic area and are hunkered down waiting for the Dark Ages Redux to pass so they can reestablish civilization.

The influx of millions of poorly educated, unskilled immigrants served our country well one hundred years ago- when the ability to perform manual labor was sufficient to earn a living and our system of government benefits was virtually nonexistent. Fast forward to the 21st century and you will find that a strong back and work ethic is no longer enough to support a family. And the vast cornucopia of benefits itself serves as a draw for even more. A woman who comes here illegally and has an anchor baby is not looking for a job. She is looking to tap into the benefit system.

History will not judge us kindly for our failure to stand our ground and protect our country for fear of being called bad names (racist, bigot, etc).
