Legalize marijiauna to help balance budget

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090716/...arijuana_taxes

I like this idea for different reasons. Number one is that people will not stop using it, legal or not, so why not tax and regulate it. Secondly, organized crime (Cartels) would be severely diminished by this. Lastly, it would decriminalize something that is no worse than drinking a beer. Lessening our prison population would help in so many ways.

Now I don't do it myself and I barely drink but if it's your cup of tea I say why not. Just be responsible about it.

If you want to be normal or not, if you want to be a furry or not, you want hot butt sex with vegetables you take that shit somewhere else. It has no business on TTP.

We ban people for inappropriate content. While we should pretty much always be able to surf to TTP from home, if we start getting noticed for inappropriate content on our forums, we could start being blocked at schools and work places. Potemkine just posted last week that he can no longer get to TTP due to the category "gaming" filter being applied.

While at work, I can't get to several legitimate sites to get software tools that I could use to help me do my job since they are perceived as hacking websites/software.

We keep having stupid stuff posted, all it takes is one complaint to the right people and its game over. The people that make the filtering software may not explicitly know about us yet. But one email and we get added to their list, boom, there goes TTP's day life. The college kids will probably still be ok. The people at home will still be ok. But people in public school and at many larger places of employment can easily find themselves blocked.

Pornography, drugs, and other high sensitive topics just put us on a short path to getting nuked.

talking about illegal drugs, and legislation to legalize it....is totally another. and given the majority minor population we have frequenting this place, it is NOT a conversation that can be had civilly, or without drawing the wrong kind of flags and attention TTP does NOT want to get.
