I'd prefer to just call the Westboro people just plain batshit insane, rather than saying their particular breed of Christianity is "wrong."

Re: Westboro Baptist church
They're the people who protest soldiers funerals saying that God killed them because America is too pro-homo?
What a bunch of cocksuckers. Even if you don't like the war in Iraq/Afghanistan, or gays, at least have the common courtesy to not fuck with the people who volunteered to take that bullet for you. How rude and stupid can you get?
And that natural disaster B.S. is just fucking stupid. I refuse to believe that God (if God exists, personally an Atheist, but thats neither here nor there) would kill a bunch of innocent people, simply to punish a few homosexuals.
What a bunch of nutjobs.

Take a look at this video about the Patriot Guard Riders and their dealings with Westboro.

Personally, I think they're all horribly misguided and use words like "god" and "hell" to promote blatant hatred. If you read up on them and look around youtube you can find a wealth of information about how they do things... most of the church is one extended family. They brainwash the children to support them at rallies and show up at events around the country to attempt to promote their agenda. They are banned the UK, and largely recognized as a cult, not as a sect of Christianity.
Fun Fact: The Westboro Baptist Church used to have several godhates____.com pages registered, such as godhatesaustralia.com, but compressed them all into a blanket site, godhatestheworld.com, with separate pages for each original site.
